.......AND QUIETLY FLOWS AWAY 2008

31 st December 2008 ---was a quiet one .The economic slowdown the world over has taken its toll on Jamshedpur too.The celebrations here were low key .TELCO CLUB had no celebrations this year--no fireworks(now famous) --no dance on the floor --no stalls put up in the garden -no bang bang music--due to the Mumbai attacks and the frequent block closures at Tata motors --the company is in bad shape --sad to note that as we are products od this very our own TELCO ---Golmuri and Tube makers club were as usual celebrating --however the hotels too had low keyed celebrations .
I spent the evening watching SORRY BHAI --a cute little movie --and a quiet dinner --all at Telco club -the fireworks in my neighbourhood woke me up at 12 --but fell asleep again--quitest 31st dec in recent memory--last year i was bloody dancing well past 12 .
This morning --sending and receiving SMS's were the order of the day.
